In order to realize its objectives, which focus around its members, UPIAV relies on a Policy Document that was formulated by UPIAV's directors with member participation.

From this document emerge four principle areas in which UPIAV directs its work improving the quality of life of members and their family, improving the application of technology to individual production, and relying on development alternatives to social integration and family organization.
