Union of Independent Agricultural Producers of Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica

The Union of Independent Agricultural Producers of Perez Zeledon - UPIAV - was created in 1971.
It is a social, trade-specific organization.

As a group, UPIAV attempts to serve as a development instrument which answers to the expectations of member producers through acting on proposals and claims;
advocating for better services in accordance with needs;
having membres who are conscious of their economic, political and social reality;
increasing communal leadership;
and being a flexible and modern organizational alternative for producers and their families.

We are an organization of producers who are working in defense of human rights, and which offers services relating to trade representation and activities. Our actions are framed within the larger principles of solidarity and community social responsibility.
