The organization is constantly concerned about present-day and future ecological problems as well as environmental protection. It is necessary that UPIAV contributes to efforts towards the conservation and suitable use of natural resources, watershed protection, reduction of indiscriminate deforestation and of forest fires. UPIAV therefore negotiates the acquisition of funds for ecological and forestry programs. 
The environment is promoted at the majority UPIAV's events in order to help raise awareness against environmental contamination. In addition, UPIAV hopes to incorporate forestry projects directed at watershed reforestation on vacant lands. |
